Step I Lead-in
教师用多媒体或投影仪展示自己旅游时的照片，导入“旅游”这一话题。教师向学生提问：Where was I? Do you like traveling?
Step Ⅱ Presentation
1、教师说：Lots of people like traveling．Our friends Eddie and Hobo also like traveling．They'll go on a trip for their holiday．Will Eddie have a happy holiday? Why or why not? Let's listen to their conversation．让学生看课本第24页的漫画，听录音并回答问题。
2、教师再播放一遍录音，让学生跟着录音朗读对话，回答细节问题。
（1）Where is Eddie going?（He is going on a trip to South Hill.）
（2）Does Hobo want to go too?（Yes，he does.
（3）What does Hobo want to bring?（He wants to bring everything with him．）
3、学生分角色朗读并准备表演，鼓励学生根据自己的想象添加内容。
Step Ⅲ Presentation
1、教师问：Have you ever been to any places in your holidays? Where did you go? Do you know any famous places of interest? 让学生自由发言，说出自己已学过或去过的名胜地名称。
2、用多媒体或投影仪展示本课中风景名胜的图片，并呈现旅游地的名称，适当加上一些英文介绍。
Mount Fuji It is in Japan．There is snow on the top of this mountain．
The Leaning Tower of Pisa：This tower is in Italy．It is leaning．
The Little Mermaid It is a statue of a girl in Denmark．The girl has a fish's tail instead of legs．
The Statue of Liberty It is in New York City, USA．It stands for liberty．
The Tower Bridge It is a large bridge over the River Thames in London．It has twin towers．
3、将全班分成两人一组，完成课本第25页A部分的练习。全班一起核对答案。
4、组织学生讨论旅游时人们从事的活动，呈现see the beautiful view等。
5、让学生两人一组，谈论每一张图片。参照课本第25页B部分的对话，讨论设计新对话。
S1：What's this?
S2：It's the Great Wall in China--a symbol of China．
S1：What can people do there?
S2：They can see the beautiful view there．
Step IV Group work
1、组织学生进行四人小组讨论，为Eddie和Hobo安排旅游地点和活动。教师可以这样说：There are many places of interest in the world and people can do a lot of activities there．Where will Eddie and Hobo go? What can they do there?
2、请三至四组学生把他们的安排讲述给全班同学听。
导入“旅游”话题，激发学生兴趣。
要求学生只能听，不允许看书以便达到锻炼听力的目的。
补充一些其他的旅游胜地。
参与有关“旅游”话题的讨论，可发表自己的观点。
学生带着问题去听对话内容。
